MetroMFT is proud to collaborate with the University of Maryland’s Couple and Family Therapy Program to offer a new workshop designed to deepen clinicians’ cultural responsiveness, clinical skill, and systemic awareness. This in-service training bridges theory, research, and real-world clinical practice.

Aging and Rights of Older Adults

Presented by Dr. Pamela Teaster

Offers a nuanced overview of the aging process across individual, relational, and systemic contexts, examining how older adults' rights are retained and eroded within healthcare, legal, and family systems. Key issues explored include autonomy, capacity, guardianship, ageism, and ethical decision-making, emphasizing the role of clinicians and scholars in advocating for dignity and equitable care.
